The Role

The mission of this role is to take ownership of one of the key areas of our product, the frontend applications. Our frontends are the identity of our solution and being used by our customers as a main application in their daily work. This role will have the responsibility to ensure that Quantfoilo’s frontend solutions are recognised as modern and functional and loved by our users.

 

Education: 

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data technology, systems development, or a relevant technical field

Work experience: 

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience with frontend development
  • Extensive experience leading and mentoring development teams, including offshore or outsourced teams
  • Experience mentoring junior frontend developers
  • Experience working for companies with complex and scalable products, preferably in the finance sector

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and implement scalable frontend architecture and technical standards
  • Lead frontend development using React
  • Mentor and manage frontend developers on a local and/or outsourced team
  • Perform code reviews and establish development best practices
  • Collaborate with the backend team on API design and integration
  • Stay updated on frontend technologies and evaluate new tools
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design
  • Participate in technical decisionmaking and systems architecture
  • Be an expert in CSS
  • Be able to take design decisions independently while collaborating with UX/graphic designers as needed

Nice to have: 

  • Knowledge of micro-frontend architectures
  • Experience in finance
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and accessibility standards
