A short intro of the organizationCermaq is divided into a Group function and operational companies in Chile, Canada, and Norway. Cermaq Group consists of 39 employees in Oslo and Bergen working with global functions like Finance, Communication, Sustainability, HR, Global IT, Legal, Fish Health and Innovation.
What does the job involve?As our Global IT Security Manager, you will have overall responsibility for providing comprehensive oversight and leadership in information security. Therefore, we are now looking for a strategic and operational leader with a solid technical understanding who can strengthen and further develop security across the entire organization. You will work across our decentralized departments in Chile, Canada, and Norway, and the role combines strategic planning, governance work, and practical implementation. You should expect some travel, both domestically and to Chile and Canada.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining a global IT security strategy in line with Cermaq's goals and strategic guidelines.
- Ability to stay updated on national and international regulations.
- Leading the development and execution of incident response plans, and conducting risk assessments to mitigate potential security risks.
- Evaluating, designing, and implementing security architectures and solutions to protect the IT infrastructure.
- Ability to set strong requirements for and follow up with suppliers of systems and services
- Developing and implementing security awareness and training programs for employees and IT teams globally.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant information security regulations and standards, in collaboration with legal and compliance teams.
- Acting as a liaison between global IT teams and other departments, effectively communicating security-related updates.

As a vital link between IT and business, you should have excellent collaboration skills and the patience to make security work understandable to the entire organization. You should possess strong analytical skills, the ability to take initiative and drive processes, and be systematic in your work. You are skilled at communicating, both in writing and in dialog, as you thrive working in an international environment. Experience with NIS, GRC, risk management, incident response, and monitoring is an advantage.
You have:
- Higher education, preferably a master's degree in information security or IT.
- Knowledge of GDPR and privacy.
- Strong understanding of building a robust and resilient ISMS system.
- Experience with technical security work and architecture.
- Are a clear and inspiring leader with high integrity.
- Professional confidence and commitment to developing safety expertise both internally and externally.
- Excellent collaboration skills and patience to make safety work understandable for the entire organization.
- Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, both verbally and writing.
