We are strengthening our Group Procurement team and are looking for a development-oriented Procurement Specialist. Do you want to contribute to building competitiveness and value to Elopak, and support the sustainability agenda through developing a responsible supply chain? Then we would like to hear from you! 

Group Procurement is organized with a global network of central category managers as well as local purchasing managers and teams. We are responsible for execution of sourcing and procurement activities for key raw materials and other key categories on group levels. Group Procurement is also responsible for procurement processes, systems and methods as well as safeguarding sustainable and responsible supply chain practices. We contribute to Elopak’s total cost, innovation, compliance and sustainability agenda.

As our Procurement Specialist you will provide full life cycle procurement support with a data-driven approach. In this role you will have frequent interaction with team members, internal stakeholders and suppliers in the execution of projects that help us to achieve significant value in the form of improved pricing, quality, delivery, supplier performance and other aspects of total cost. 

You will be exposed to and support all aspects of the procurement process, including negotiations, contracting, benchmarking, supplier review, performance monitoring and data analysis amongst others. It is key to have an interest in and a commercial and strategic understanding in order to be a relevant business partner and to be able to enhance strategic goals and drive innovation within Group Procurement. As a Procurement Specialist you report to Director Group Procurement.

Your main responsibilities and tasks

  • Support category managers on development, implementation, and execution of category strategies in cooperation with key stakeholders
  • Maintain and coordinate communication and regular alignment with all stakeholders to effectively achieve set targets
  • Data collection and analysis of external category market, prices, cost-drivers and structures for key categories and sourcing groups to further improve our market intelligence structure and reporting
  • Building and further developing dashboards reflecting market price variables relevant to key direct categories  
  • Support on fact-based analysis to identify opportunities to reduce TCO for selected categories 
  • Prepare RFIs/RFQs including timeline and process definitions as well as supplier evaluations and negotiations.
  • Support on further developing and implementing the supplier qualification and audit management set-up and process in Elopak 


Which qualifications do we look for in you?

  • Relevant Business or Engineering degree (bachelor or above) 
  • Experience with procurement, preferably within strategic sourcing and/or category management, is an advantage
  • Strong interest in technical topics/technical background
  • Good interpersonal and social skills 
  • Highly competent in communication and relationship management with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of SAP, Power BI and Data Analytics is an advantage
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications 
  • Experienced in volatile markets and financial instruments to manage risks is an advantage  
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written. A Scandinavian language or Dutch language is also preferred
