To support the project, we are currently looking for an Installation Team Leader. The installation Team Leader will function as a technical expert, as well as a team leader and will be responsible for the execution of equipment installation activities according to project schedule.
The installation Team Leader will coordinate and execute installation activities according to the design documentation with subcontractors. That entails responsibility of installation execution under Quality and EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) standard, as well as installation report management. Special processes as crimping, torque tightening and screened cables is an important and critical task of installation process and will be monitored by the Installation Team Leader both for harness production and on-board installation.
The position will be based on site at the workshop Oslo, but might entail some traveling activities to other sites in the Nordics.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with design documentation and Supervisor Installation orientation / instruction for subcontractor activity.
- Ensure compliance with EHS procedures and use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), ensuring collective protections are in place, and alerting the Managers whenever any deviation to rules or risk is identified
- Confirm installation execution readiness (man, machines, material, method)
- Ensure installation activities are performed without deviations, following design, methods, and quality standards
- Report and alert the supervisor if any risk, deviations, or issues are identified during the installation activities that may impact the safety, the quality and/or the work performance
- Interface with other stakeholders for Design and Supply Chain.
- Ensures train and working areas are clean, tidy and that each equipment/material/file is located in its dedicated place or area.
- As a team leader you will supervise the Installation Team, ensure briefing and debriefing with the workers and to update the schedule. In addition, the team leader will inform the Installation Design Engineer of any detected gaps or errors.
Skills and education
- Electric Diploma education
- Good understanding and interpretation of mechanical plans
- Good understanding and interpretation of electrical drawings
- Good understanding of EHS and safety rules
Railway or industrial experience as installation worker is to be preferred. A Bachelor’s degree would be a bonus.
